national heroes of the philippines
After Ferdinand Magellan
landed (and died) in the Philippines during
his circumnavigation of the world in 1521,
the islands became part of the Spanish colonial empire
for more than 300 years. However, revolutionary movements
spawned many national heroes in the struggle

This complete set of Philippine pesos is dedicated to some of them.
The obverse features portraits of José Rizal and Emilio Aguinaldo,
as well as a double portrait of Andres Bonifacio and
Apolinario Mabini, in addition to denominations.
The reverse shows the old seal.
and the year the central bank was founded.
– Includes coin with hole
– History of the Spanish East Indies
– Bimetal coin with double portrait
