Silver Coin $1 Australia 2025 – Kookaburra
€55.00 includes 24% VAT
First minted in 1990 by the renowned Perth Mint, the coin was the first silver bullion coin to honor one of Australia’s most endearing birds, the Kookaburra. The kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family and the national bird of Australia. Known for its raucous laugh, the kookaburra can be heard across Australia – from the outback to the backyard.
In honour of the 35th anniversary of Australia’s famous kookaburra, the coin’s reverse features a majestic kookaburra perched on a tree branch. The mystery mark pays homage to the original Australian kookaburra coin design, with radiant lines symbolising a burst of sunlight. The reverse also includes the inscription “KOOKABURRA 35th ANNIVERSARY”, the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and the date 2025.
On the obverse is the image of His Majesty King Charles III and the denomination.
