€28.00 includes 22% VAT
Postojna Cave is a natural attraction in Slovenia and the most visited cave in Europe. The inscriptions found in the Old Signatures Passage date back to the 13th century, with the oldest dating back to 1213. To commemorate the 800th anniversary of the first recorded visit, the Republic of Slovenia issues a commemorative coin depicting a stylized spiral ending in two formations, reflecting the length and age of the cave.
The 10 stotin coin (1/10 Slovenian tolar) depicts the European Proteus, a tailed amphibian that lives in underground lakes in the west of the Balkan Peninsula.
