Silver coin 10 euro France 2022 – Albert I Prince of Monaco

The coin is dedicated to Prince Albert I of Monaco on the occasion of the centenary of his death.

Albert I (1848 – 1922) – the eleventh Prince of Monaco from 1889 to 1922 from the Grimaldi dynasty.
He devoted most of his life to oceanography, research and science. Along with his expeditions, Albert I carried out reforms at the political, economic and social levels, granting the Principality a constitution in 1911. Prince Albert I of Monaco devoted most of his life to the study of the seas and oceans, and Monaco diplomats from all over the world sent scientific papers to him. At 22, he began a career in the then relatively new science of oceanography. Realizing the importance of the relationship between living beings and their environment, he developed a number of methods and tools for measurement and research.
