DC Comics (founded in 1934 as National Allied Publications) is one of the largest and most popular comic book publishers. The abbreviation DC took over from the publisher’s most popular Detective Comics series and soon became the official name of the company.

Harley Quinn, real name Dr. Harleen Francis Quinzel, is a supervillain, later anti-heroine of the DC Comics universe, originally appearing in the 1992 animated series Batman, later ported to comic books. The character’s pseudonym is formed from her real name as an association with the word “harlequin”.
