After the Estonian currency reform of 1992, the Republic of Estonia reintroduced the Estonian kroon as a currency. The previously used rubles were exchanged for kroons within three days (June 20-22), after which the Estonian kroon became the only legal tender in Estonia. In 1992, currency was exchanged in the ratio of 10 rubles = 1 kroon.
