Issued a silver coin in honor of the 25th anniversary of the unique peaceful demonstration of 1989, in which about 2 million people from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania participated.
The obverse is traditional: in the center is the coat of arms of the State of Lithuania. The inscriptions are located in Vokgur: “LIETUVA” (Lithuania), face value and year of issue of “50 Litu 2014”. An engraved Mint mark is engraved at the bottom.
The tree is represented on the reverse, where the contours of the three Baltic countries are depicted in the form of a crown, and the trunk is an artistic image of the road connecting them. To the radars there is an inscription: “BALTIJOS KELIAS 25” (25 years of the Baltic Way). The initials of the designer are indicated on the right side.
The edge contains the inscription: “EESTI LATVIJA LIETUVA” (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania).
The coin is 50 litas made of silver of 925-th test (proof), has a weight of 28.28 g and a diameter of 38.61 mm. Circulation – 4,000 pcs.
