The evil stepmother, wanting to get rid of her good-natured and hard-working stepdaughter, orders her husband to take her to the forest and abandon her there. In the forest, the girl meets Morozko, and he, in response to her warmth, gifts her with furs and jewelry. The stepmother, having learned about her stepdaughter’s wealth, sends her daughter into the forest, but she meets Morozko rudely and unfriendly, for which she is punished.
