Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain was the monarch of many “firsts”. Her coronation ceremony in 1953 was the first to be televised. In 18786, she became the first British monarch to visit China. She was also the first to address the US Congress in 1991. Most famously, however, she was the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, a four-day celebration in 2022 to mark her 70th birthday on the throne. And now, even after her death, she still creates the first image, first appearing on a coin with her son and heir, King Charles III.
