5 euro silver coin Latvia 2022 – 100th anniversary of the Bank of Latvia

The coin is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bank of Latvia. Up is a gift to the community on this special day. He calls and pushes us upwards and he himself strives upwards, illuminating the path of the Bank of Latvia through the past and clearly indicating the direction of its future. The understanding of a national central bank and its mission has changed over the past 100 years. Some of its functions are gone, but the main task of the Bank of Latvia remains unchanged: to ensure the preservation of the value of money, as well as the reliability of the modern digital money format in the eyes of the public.

Obverse: nine steps with embossed smooth mirror surface. The upper step is a gilded segment of the circle, associated with the edge of the rising sun and visually reminiscent of the logo of the Bank of Latvia.

Reverse: matte gilding. The inscription LATVIJAS BANKA is located in a semicircle along the upper edge.
