On the obverse of the coin, the Ukrainian word “ВОЛЯ” is depicted in two rows. To the left of the main motif are the words in Latvian “BRĪVĪBA VARA GRIBA” (freedom, will, strength). To the right of the main motive is the inscription “LATVIJA UKRAINE”.
The reverse of the coin depicts a bird with a gilded star in its beak. The inscription “5 EURO” on the left, the year “2022” at the bottom.
The coin has not only symbolic, but also practical meaning. The income received by the Latvian bank from each sold coin will be transferred to Ukraine.
