5$ Silver Coin Tokelau 2022 – Equilibrium “Yin-Yang”
€45.00 includes 22% VAT
Tokelau is a New Zealand territory in the South Pacific. It uses the New Zealand dollar as its currency of circulation, but has issued many non-circulating coins since 1978, and has also allowed some foreign mints to issue bullion coins under its jurisdiction.
This is the fifth design in the Equilibrium investment coin series from the Pressburg Mint. The coins of this series have a new design every year and are dedicated to balance – balance – between technology and humanity.
Yin-yang is a particularly important and popular representation of harmony, stemming from a rich Asian philosophical tradition. Humanity has already explored most of our planet Earth. Now we focus not only outward, into space, but also inward, into our consciousness. What is the relationship between ourselves and the great vastness beyond?
The obverse of the coin depicts the head of Queen Elizabeth I.
The reverse depicts a yin-yang symbol with a geometric pattern in the form of a circle inside the human brain to the left and right of the planet Earth, surrounded by stars connected by thin lines in the form of constellations.
