The 2025 China Dragon Silver Coin represents a historical milestone in numismatics – it is the first official silver dragon investment coin issued by the China Mint.
The Chinese dragon is in Chinese culture a symbol of good yang and the Chinese nation as a whole, firmly associated with the element of water. According to Chinese beliefs, the lunar serpent lives in rivers, lakes and seas, but is able to soar into the sky. It clearly shows traces of the deity of moisture and rain, originally associated with the fertility cult. Rituals to summon rain did not do without dragon images as early as the sixth century BC.
