Description: The coin bears the word ‘AČIŪ’ (thank you), which is one of the most beautiful words in Lithuanian. The commemorative coin uses the original Lithuanian font to better match the most commonly used letter combinations in Lithuanian. This font was created based on the Latin font to mark the 100th anniversary of the abolition of the ban on publishing in Lithuanian. In the background of the word ‘AČIŪ’, all the letters of the Lithuanian language are depicted as a cloud of stars. At the bottom is the name of the issuing country “LIETUVA” and below the name the year of issue 2015. Under the word “AČIŪ” is the emblem of the Lithuanian Mint. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union flag.
