2 euro Finland 2025 – Finland-Sweden Athletics International 100 years BU (random coincard)

On August 23–24, 2025, Stockholm will host the anniversary meeting of Finland and Sweden in athletics — Finnkampen. This is the only professional competition in the world where only two countries participate. The tournament is divided into men’s and women’s teams, includes running at various distances, a relay race, jumping and other disciplines. Every year, the event attracts tens of thousands of spectators and symbolizes the friendship of the two nations.

The 2 euro commemorative coin is issued in BU format on a special coin card with a design by the Helsinki Mint. The illustration reflects the dynamics of sport and is executed in blue and white with an emphasis on the national colours of Finland. The obverse depicts the legs of a runner and lines symbolizing Finland and Sweden.
