Coin Set – Great Britain

12.00

The set consists of six British coins in denominations of ½, 1 penny, 3 pence, 6 pence, 2 shillings, and ½ crown. These denominations were subsequently withdrawn from circulation and replaced by new ones, so they are not legal tender today, however they still have numismatic value.

The obverse of the series features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The reverses of the coins reflect the rich monarchical heritage of Great Britain, incorporating iconic images and symbols of the country: a sailing ship, the figure of Britannia with a trident and shield, the Tudor portcullis and Tudor rose, and the crowned coat of arms.

Coins minted between 1965 and 1967 are offered for sale; the image shown is illustrative.
