The “Lady Justice” coin is dedicated to one of the main symbols of justice—the image of a blindfolded woman holding scales and a weapon. The blindfold symbolizes impartiality, the scales represent balance and justice, and the weapon represents the strength necessary to uphold the law. The obverse depicts Lady Justice in the center, blindfolded and holding scales in one hand. In the other, she holds a firearm, replacing the traditional sword. The composition is complemented by the inscriptions “JUSTICE” and “IN JUSTICE WE TRUST.”

The reverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, depicting a sailing ship against a rising sun. On either side are symbols of freedom, labor, and hope—a palm tree, a plow, and a dove holding a scroll. At the top is the national motto of Liberia, and along the edge are the denomination, weight, fineness, and year of issue.
