100 Rand banknote of the Republic of South Africa.

The front of the banknote features Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s president from 1994 to 1999 and one of the most renowned human rights activists during apartheid, for which he served 27 years in prison. Traditional South African patterns and local animals are featured in the background. The back of the banknote depicts the black buffalo, a common animal in Africa.

It is a legal tender. The serial number on the banknote may differ.
