Grand Duke Henri’s accession to the throne in October 2000 marked the turn of the millennium. On October 7 of that year he succeeded Grand Duke Jean and took the oath of office before the Chamber of Deputies. Throughout his reign, Grand Duke Henri has consistently upheld the values of tolerance, respect, dignity and solidarity. This 2 euro commemorative coin commemorates the 25th anniversary of the reign of Grand Duke Henri.
