“Birds of Anatolia” is a term that describes the diversity of birds found in the region of Anatolia (the area of modern-day Turkey).
On the reverse of the coins are depicted: Chukar Partridge, Kestrel, Eurasian collared dove, Woodlark, Sari kocagoz, African darter bird, Song thrush, Tit, Black-winged stilt, Cream-colored courser, Eurasian hoopoe, Spoonbill
Obverse : Along the edge is written “Republic of Turkey”, in the center is the denomination of the coin: 1 kurush, and below is the year of issue: 2019. The crescent moon and star at the top of the coin are symbols of Turkey. On the left are ears of wheat, symbolizing agriculture. On the right is a laurel branch, the traditional symbol of peace and victory.
The coins are made in bimetallic style: nickel and brass. The 12 coins have a brass core and nickel ring, while the other 12 coins have a nickel core and brass ring.
