The solar system is a planetary system with the Sun at its center and eight planets, their satellites, dwarf planets, asteroids, and comets orbiting around it. It formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a gas and dust cloud. The major planets are divided into terrestrial planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars) and gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune).
Obverse: Depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Turkey – crescent moon and star, as well as the inscription “Republic of Turkey”, the nominal value of 1 kurush, as well as the year of issue. The orbits of planets are depicted across the surface, and small images resemble celestial bodies such as satellites and planets.
