The Transcaucasian mountain sheep is a pair-hoofed mammal of the pronghorn family, inhabiting the mountainous regions of the Armenian Plateau and up to the Zagros Mountains in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia and Iraq. The species is on the verge of extinction and is included in the IUCN Red List.
