2 Euro Cyprus 2026 – Presidency of the Council of the EU (BU in capsule)

The coin is dedicated to the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union and reflects the country’s participation in pan-European processes, as well as highlights its contribution to the development of cooperation and unity within the EU.

The obverse of the coin features a design inspired by traditional Lefkara embroidery. This unique Cypriot hand-made embroidery from the village of Pano Lefkara combines Venetian and Byzantine motifs. This design symbolizes the country’s unity and cultural heritage.
