2 euros 2018 Malta – Cultural Heritage (Monnaie de Paris mintmark)

The coin is dedicated to the cultural heritage of Malta. The coin features a drawing by a schoolboy, which symbolizes themes inherent in Maltese heritage: the entrance to an ancient temple, a boat with the Maltese flag, and the church dome and spire, which are a characteristic feature of Maltese towns and villages.

The coin is notable for the fact that it has the marks of the Paris mint on each side of the year of issue: on the left is a cornucopia, on the right is the pentagon of the engraver Yves Sampo.
