2 euro Malta 2019 – Ta Hagrat Temple (F-star mintmark)

The Ta Hagrat Temple in Malta is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with a number of other megalithic temples in Malta. It is one of the oldest sanctuaries on Earth. Numerous ceramics found during excavations indicate that a village previously existed on the site of the temple. Of the finds on the territory of the temple, the most interesting is the model of the temple, made of coral limestone.

The coin is notable for having the mark of the French mint – the letter F on the rim inside the sixth star.
