Coin set – Kazakhstan

9.00

The set consists of seven Kazakh coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 tenge. Although the National Bank of Kazakhstan has been issuing new coins with Kazakh inscriptions in Latin script since 2019, earlier coins with Russian inscriptions remain in circulation.

The obverse of the coins features the national emblem—the shanyrak (the top of a yurt), symbolizing a common home and the unity of the people, from which the sun’s rays radiate in all directions. On the sides are depicted mythical winged horses—tulpars—embodying strength, freedom, and the desire for development. The reverse of the coins displays their face value, adorned with minimalist designs.
