2 euro Portugal 2017 – Raul Brandao

The coin is dedicated to the 150 years of the birth of Raúl Brandão. Raul Germano Brandão was a military journalist and Portuguese writer, famous for the realism of his descriptions and the lyricism of language. His main works include The farce (1903), Poor people (1906), Humus (1917, considered his masterpiece), Or poor to ask (1931) and Memories (1933).
