Silver Coin 10 euro France 2025 – 220th anniversary of the Battle of Austerlitz
€125.00 includes 24% VAT
This pure silver coin commemorates the strategic mind of Napoleon and his legions in confronting the armies of the Third Coalition, the Austrian Emperor Francis II, and Alexander I, Tsar of Russia. Known as the “Battle of the Three Emperors,” the coin pays tribute to the three warring parties.
On the obverse of the coin are portraits of Alexander I and Francis II, depicted facing Napoleon on horseback, with the legions in the foreground.
The coin’s reverse is inspired by the original medal minted in 1806 to commemorate Napoleon’s victory at Austerlitz. At the center is a winged scepter, topped by a statue of Charlemagne and surrounded by lightning bolts. This composition conveys all the symbolism of Napoleon I’s ancient imperial iconography.
