Silver Coin Estonia 15 EURO 2021 – Friedrich Karl Akel 150th Birth Anniversary

The coin is dedicated to the Estonian politician, doctor and diplomat Friedrich Karl Akel (1871-1941). From March 26 to December 16, 1924, he was the head of the Estonian state. He was also known as an ophthalmologist, chairman of the Tallinn City Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Estonian Ambassador and a member of the International Olympic Committee. In 1941 he was arrested and shot by the Soviet authorities.
