This historic document marked the beginning of the development of the regular Russian navy and became a milestone in the country’s maritime history.
The obverse of the coin features a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation—a double-headed eagle. The reverse features the frigate “Oryol” against a backdrop of modern ship silhouettes, symbolizing the continuity of maritime traditions and the development of Russian shipbuilding.
