Great Britain definitive coin set 2023 BU

In 2023, after the coronation of the new King of Great Britain, Charles III, coins of regular denominations with a new design were issued. The updated coin designs represent a historic change in UK coinage.
The overall theme of the new reverses centers around animals and plants from all four countries of the UK. Many of the animals featured in this set’s designs are considered endangered, and some are conservation success stories.

The new coin set includes:
£2 – flora representing the four nations of Great Britain: the rose for England, the daffodil for Wales, the thistle for Scotland and the shamrock for Northern Ireland.
1 pound – bees
50 penny – Atlantic salmon
20 pennies – bird puffin
10 penny – capercaillie
5 pennies – oak
2 pennies – squirrel
1 penny – hazel dormouse
