Coin Set – Guinea

The set consists of three Guinean coins in denominations of 1, 5, and 10 francs. Formally considered legal tender, these coins, due to severe inflation, have lost their purchasing power and are no longer in everyday circulation.

The obverse of the coins features the Guinean coat of arms—a shield with crossed arms, topped by a dove holding an olive branch – a symbol of peace, and a ribbon bearing the motto “Travail, Justice, Solidarité” (“Work, Justice, Solidarity”). The reverse displays the coin’s face value and is adorned with a palm branch, symbolizing the country’s natural wealth, growth, and vitality.
