In 2026, the Monnaie de Paris will present a new series, “Animals of the World,” consisting of six coins dedicated to iconic representatives of the planet’s fauna, each symbolizing the richness and biodiversity of the Earth.

The first coin in the series is dedicated to big cats. These strong and graceful animals embody the power, strength, and beauty of the wild.

Obverse: Three representatives of the big cat family are depicted—a lion, a tiger, and a leopard. The composition is complemented by a wreath with symbols characteristic of the animals depicted, creating a unique “family portrait.”
Reverse: branches of laurel and oak.
