5€ France 2026 – Animals of the World: Aquatic Animals

Animals hold a special place in our imagination, evoking admiration, respect, and curiosity, reminding us of the beauty and diversity of nature. In 2026, the Monnaie de Paris will present a new series, “Animals of the World,” consisting of six coins dedicated to iconic representatives of the planet’s fauna, each symbolizing the richness and biodiversity of the Earth.

The second coin in the series is dedicated to marine animals, ocean dwellers, and an important part of the marine ecosystem. A dolphin, sea turtle, clownfish, and coral represent the vibrant and fragile underwater world.

Obverse: Three marine creatures are depicted—a dolphin, a sea turtle, and a clownfish. The composition is complemented by a wreath with symbols typical of the depicted animals, creating a unique “family portrait.”
Reverse: branches of laurel and oak.
