The Adam’s Head (Acherontia atropos) is a large hawk moth with a wingspan of up to 13 cm, known for the pattern on its thorax resembling a human skull. It is one of the largest butterflies in Europe, migrating from Africa. It is distinguished by its ability to emit a loud squeaking sound when threatened and feeds on honey, entering beehives.
