Coloured 2 Euro Finland 2011 – 200th Anniversary of the Bank of Finland

The coin commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Bank of Finland. It was founded in 1811 in Turku by decree of Emperor Alexander I and became the first bank in Finland, later moving to Helsinki.

The coin depicts Finland’s national bird, the swan. Behind it is a picturesque Finnish landscape, complete with sky, clouds, and water, rendered in color. The years “1811” and “2011” are also included in the composition.
