Coin set – Pakistan

The set consists of four Pakistani coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 rupees. They are the country’s legal tender.

The obverse of the series, in keeping with Islamic tradition, features a star and crescent. The one-rupee coin features a portrait of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The reverses of the coins depict important spiritual structures—the Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine, the Badshahi Mosque, and the Faisal Mosque. This design reflects the importance of religion in the daily lives of the people.
