Coin set – Papua New Guinea

The set consists of seven Papua New Guinea coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 toya and 1 and 2 kina. They are legal tender.

The design of the coin series reflects a connection with nature. The reverse depicts representatives of the region’s diverse fauna: the giant paradise butterfly, scorpionfish, turtle, spotted cuscus, Bennett’s cassowary, and crocodiles. The 2 kina coin is adorned with the logo of the country’s bank. The obverse features the coat of arms of Papua New Guinea: a bird of paradise above a spear and kundu drum.
