The Prado Museum is one of the most important art galleries in the world, located in the city of Madrid. The Prado Museum opened to the public on November 19, 1819. It features a selection of paintings from the Royal Collection.

The coin contains a QR code for the first time in coins minted by the Royal Mint of Madrid. Using the QR code, you can get additional information and learn more about the works presented.

On the obverse in the central part of the coin, the detail is reproduced in colors from the painting “Las Meninas” by Diego Rodriguez de Silva and Velazquez, which is kept in the Prado National Museum in Madrid. On the right is a circle, inside which there is a QR code, with information about the coin. Below is the mint mark. At the top of the coin, the face value of 30 euros is indicated horizontally in capital letters. To the left of the coin, in an ascending circular direction, the inscription MUSEO DEL PRADO 200 YEARS in capital letters.

The reverse depicts Their Majesties King Don Felipe and Donna Letizia. Around the circle there is an inscription “FELIPE VI Y LETIZIA”, below the country of the issuer and the date of issue of the coin “ESPAÑA 2019”.
