Silver Coin 5 Cedi Ghana 2021 – Ice Age Giants: Bison

The sixth coin in the Ice Age Giants series. The series is dedicated to the memory of eight extinct animals of the Pleistocene epoch. In this era, which ended about 11,700 years ago, the last ice age occurred.

This issue focuses on the bison, which was a species of wild cattle native to North America, Europe and Asia. These beasts were among the largest herbivores of the time, weighing in at over 3,000 pounds. Modern livestock is considered a subspecies of bison.

The reverse depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Ghana and the denomination.
