Coin Set – Albania

The set consists of six Albanian coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 lekë. The coin series was introduced after the currency reform of 1995–1996 and remains in cirulation and a legal tender to this day.

The series’ theme brings together important symbols and historical figures of Albania. The coins depict elements of national culture—from an ancient Illyrian ship and traditional headdress to historical figures, including national hero Skanderbeg and Mother Teresa, as well as the national coat of arms featuring the double-headed eagle.
