Coin set – Tajikistan

The set consists of six Tajik coins in denominations of 10, 20, and 50 dirams and 1, 3, and 5 somoni. They are legal tender.

Coins in denominations of 10, 20, and 50 dirams feature the coat of arms of Tajikistan. The 1, 3, and 5 somoni coins feature prominent figures of the country: poet Mirzo Tursunzoda; political figure Shirinsho Shotemor, who made a significant contribution to the early history of Soviet Tajikistan; and Sadriddin Aini, a writer, public figure, and scientist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Tajik SSR. Their face value is indicated on the reverse side of the coins.
