Coin set – Tanzania

The set consists of 7 Tanzanian coins in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 shillings.

The design of the coin series reflects the region’s rich fauna. The reverse depicts African elephants, a cow, black rhinoceros, antelopes, lions, and African buffalo. The 10 shilling coin is adorned with the national coat of arms. The obverse of the coin series features images of Tanzanian political figures and national heroes: former presidents Julius Nyerere and Ali Hassan Mwinyi, and former vice president Abeid Amani Karume.
