Coin set – North Korea

The set consists of five North Korean coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50 jeon, and 1 won. They are the country’s legal tender.

The obverse of the series features the North Korean national emblem, which depicts a hydroelectric power station at the foot of the sacred Mount Paektu, surrounded by ears of grain. The reverse of the coins is decorated with national flowers: the Kimilsunghwa orchid, named after Kim Il-sung, and the Kimjong-ilhwa begonia, named after Kim Jong-il.
