Coin set – North Macedonia

The set consists of three North Macedonian coins in denominations of 1, 2, and 5 denarii. They are legal tender.

The design of the coin series highlights the country’s natural wealth. They depict characteristic representatives of the region’s fauna, such as the Šarplanina shepherd dog, a traditional Balkan herding dog; the Ohrid trout, which inhabits the waters of the ancient Lake Ohrid; and the Balkan lynx, a rare and protected species. The reverse side of the coins displays their face value.
