Coin set – Moldova

The set consists of nine Moldovan coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 bani and 1, 2, 5, and 10 lei. They are legal tender.

A unique feature of this series is the hidden image of a cow, revealed when the 1, 2, 5, and 10 lei coins are placed together. This artistic choice is deliberate—it emphasizes the symbolic significance of this animal in Moldova. The cow has long been an important element of agriculture and traditional lifestyles, representing patience, resilience, and vitality.

The reverse of the coins of smaller denominations depicts the national emblem, while the obverse displays the face value, surrounded by minimalist ornamentation.
