Coin set – Nepal

The set consists of six Nepalese coins in denominations of 5, 10, 25, and 50 paisa, and 1 and 2 rupees. They are the country’s legal tender.

The images on the coins convey the country’s natural wealth, as well as its spiritual and cultural traditions. The obverse of the 1- and 2-rupee coins depicts the nation’s main landmark, Mount Everest, while the reverse depicts a scene of plowing fields and a map of Nepal. The smaller denomination coins are adorned with images of the royal crown and the Swayambhunath Temple. Their composition is complemented by the denomination symbol, framed by a wreath of ears of corn.
