Coin set – New Caledonia

The set consists of five New Caledonian coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 francs. They are legal tender.

The coin design highlights the unique local nature and rich fauna. The reverse of the series features a rare kagu bird, three bull heads, and a traditional sailing canoe. The obverse features the profile and silhouette of Marianne, the symbol of liberty, wearing a helmet and holding a torch and a cornucopia.
