Coin set – Cambodia

8.00

The set consists of four Cambodian coins in denominations of 50, 100, 200, and 500 riels. This series of coins was introduced in 1994 and is legal tender. However, they are rarely used in Cambodia, as banknotes or US dollars are the primary currencies in circulation.

The obverse of the coins bears the denomination in Khmer, as well as the minting date and the corresponding Buddhist year. The reverses are decorated with images of significant architectural and national symbols of Cambodia: the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh, the famous Angkor Wat temple complex, ceremonial bowls, and the national emblem.
