Coin set – Thailand

The set consists of six Thai coins in denominations of 25 and 50 satang and 1, 2, 5, and 10 baht. They are legal tender.

The coin designs reflect the importance of spirituality and religion in the country’s culture. The reverses of the coin series depict such structures as the Temple of Dawn, the stupa of Wat Phra Mahathat Wikhon, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Wat Phra Kaew, the stupa at Wat Saket, and the Marble Temple of Wat Benchamabophit. The obverse features a portrait of Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), a former king of Thailand from the Chakri dynasty.
